Retha Bogier is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of BOGIER Consulting, Inc. (currently BOGIER Clinical & IT Solutions, Inc.) with expertise in staffing, Clinical and Statistical Programming, and Consulting using SAS and PL/SQL. Retha interacts extensively with BOGIER Clinical & IT Solutions, Inc.’s clients and holds full responsibility for the business. Retha earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Saint Augustine’s College (Raleigh, NC). She is a member of the 2003-2004 Who’s Who in Executive Professionals and attended the 2003 and 2007 Minority Business Executive Program class at TUCK school of Business at Dartmouth. Prior to starting BOGIER Clinical & IT Solutions, Inc., Retha gained (CRO) industry experience from PPD, PharmaNet, and ClinTrials Research (now Kendle). During her tenure at these companies, she gained Clinical and Statistical Programmer experience in for Phase II, IIIb, and IV clinical trials. Her programming experience at these companies has allowed her to manage SAS Programmers for Clinical Studies. She has in the past developed SAS, COBOL/CICS applications at EDS, Square-D Company, and Wake County Information Services.
Vera Jones-Wilkins, M.B.A. - As the Strategic Business Planning Director for BOGIER Clinical & IT Solutions, Inc. and Chairperson for the Advisory Board, Vera is responsible for assisting the President and CEO in setting the strategic direction and alliances for the company. Prior to joining BOGIER Clinical & IT Solutions, Inc. in 2007, Vera was the National Account Manager for a large staffing firm based on the West Coast. During this time, she was responsible for one of their large pharmaceutical clients. Prior to her introduction to the staffing world, she gained extensive global experience in the computer industry. Over a span of eighteen years, Vera held such positions as Business Operations Manager, Planning Manager, Customer Relations Manager, Forecasting Manager, Program Manager, and Sales Operations Manager. Some of Vera’s demonstrated strengths while holding the above positions are process improvements, managing projects and programs, team facilitation, and strategic planning, to name a few. Vera earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and an MBA, both from Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi. She also has course work towards a Master of Human resources Management with degree pending.
Gilda Pettiford Womble, M.S.P.H. is the founder and President/CEO of InStepp, Inc. Born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, Gilda received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and a MSPH graduate degree in biostatistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Gilda has over 30 years of experience working as a statistician and manager in the pharmaceutical industry. She began working as a statistician for Burroughs Welcome Co in 1976 and remained with the company through two mergers. At the time of her retirement from GlaxoSmithKline in December 2006, she was Director of Statistics and Programming for the Neurology Medicine Development Center. Gilda currently serves on the advisory board of BOGIER Consulting, Inc. and is a member of the Executive Committee for the North Carolina Re-entry Action Project (NCREAP).
Liz Rolison, M.B.A. is Principal Consultant for Rolison Consulting LLC, focusing on IT strategy and planning. Prior to starting her own business, Liz spent thirteen years in the CRO industry as VP, Information Technology for PPD where she was responsible for managing PPD’s global IT organization providing technologies and services to support PPD’s businesses. Before joining PPD, Liz worked for Burroughs Wellcome a pharmaceutical company for twelve years in a progression of IT management positions. Liz has a BS in Computer Science and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business. Her experience includes Information Technology, Clinical Data Management and Clinical Research Software Consulting and Services.
Sally Shurlow Cika, B.A. is currently retired. Sally was employed for the last seven years of her career by CODA Research where she was a SAS statistical programming consultant with the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences in their Epidemiology Branch. She worked on various worldwide reproductive research studies and was involved in all aspects including data collection, editing, cleaning, data management, statistical analysis, and reporting. Prior to that, she was employed by various firms as a contract SAS programmer in the Clinical Trials industry. Also, she was employed for over twenty years as a business programmer, systems analyst, project leader, and HR/Payroll Team Leader with local government entities in both Raleigh, NC and Columbus, OH. Sally holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Hanover, College in Hanover, Indiana.
Yvonne Watford-McKinney has been a practicing attorney for approximately 28 years. She has served as an Assistant United States Attorney for 25 years, twelve years in the Eastern District of Michigan, and the last 13 years in the Eastern District of North Carolina, where she specializes in health care litigation. Her legal experience also includes the practice of corporate and non-profit law.
